Pines Cares Cognitive Needs Program

Through our Pines Cares Cognitive Needs Program, our communities provide progressive life assistance to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities and acquired brain injuries so that they can maximize their abilities and maintain their independence in the least restrictive environment. Our intentional communities provide the opportunity for meaning, purpose, and a community of friends.

Whether your loved one is leaving home for the first time or has lived in other care settings, our residents find their new life in our communities full of growth opportunities and leisure/social activities. Along with providing a welcoming home and supportive care, we offer a variety of social, emotional, and educational activities multiple times a day. These are built around the needs of our residents and are changed regularly to keep up with changing interests.

Our goal is to create a safe, active, and healthy environment for our residents which is full of engagement and family involvement. We are committed to providing a beautiful space for our residents to thrive – to make friends, work, play, volunteer and enjoy life. Our communities offer vibrant and lively atmospheres filled with natural and ambient light.

We understand that it can be a challenge knowing how to help your loved one take the next step in life. That is why we have built a caring community where adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities can realize their fullest potential.

Our Staff

Each cognitive needs community is equipped with 24-hour staff for supervision and assistance with daily living as well as life-enriching activities. Our team provides relationship-based care and take time with each resident to learn each person’s care needs, what they enjoy most, what makes them feel comfortable, and which situations may be more difficult for them.

Within our communities, you will find experienced and trustworthy teams committed to our residents. We know how difficult it can be to let go. That is why we provide an experienced staff, offering residents the care, individual attention, and real-world skills they need to thrive.

Our staff aims to create a community where residents feel they belong, inspire self-confidence and personal development, and build meaningful relationships with the community at large.
